Wicani When Stars Catch Fire over Strobroy

It is a great honour to inform all our friends that our rising star Phoenix, has been featured on an Italian website, whose owner has published a kennel feature to Wicani Collies. We consider ourselves a relatively small kennel and words cannot describe how we are feeling right now to be included with such great dogs that Angela & Keith Harvey have bred, so our thanks to them is continued and we will be forever gratefull for the faith and continued help that they have given us.

Khan is also the Sire to the first litter born here at Strobroy Collies, whom all of which went to fabulous homes including 3 full time show homes. Khan is very special to his owners - Angela & Keith Harvey, and will also always have a place in our hearts for many years to come. He is an inspiration to the breed and is in my opinion the best moving Collie around today - he is as Angela will tell you A Moving Experience

Phoenix was born on March 12th 2008 and came to us at the start of June. She is sired by Wicani Whats New Pussycat (2cc) x Coarhabeg Jewel in the Crown at Wicani. She is grandaughter to Corydon Blackcat.

As her name suggests, she is a star. This sable bitch will prove her qualities when she matures and many breeders have tipped her for the top spot.

She has an absolute fantastic reach of neck with fantastic angulations. Her bend of stifle is beautiful and she has so much power and drive that you have to see this little girl in action. She is late maturing so it will be a little longer before she is out in the ring fulltime. At the moment she is being shown sparingly and when she does we just like to have lots of fun with her.

We feel that when she is mated late 2009 and she has recovered from her maternal duties, she will come into her own then.

Watch out for this girl. She WILL be a star!
